Here are a list of books that I have read and wish to share with you.
 | Clarke John, "Story of a Soul", ICS Pubs, Washington,
1996. |
A must read for any Theresian Devotee. I believe this is where you
start. Read this, and you will know all there is to know.
 | De Sainte- Marie Francois, "The Photo Album of St. Therese of
Lisieux", Sheed and Ward, London, 1961. |
Get to know Therese better through photo's taken of her during her time at
the Carmel at Lisieux. May be currently out of print. An excellent
resource. Try some of the 'used books' sites on the net.
 | Descouvemont. P, "Therese and Lisieux", Novalis, Canada,
1996. |
A magnificent journey through Therese's childhood in Lisieux, Religious
life at the Carmel and her passage to Sainthood. Big, colourful photo's
never seen before. It is expensive but worth every cent.
 | Descouvemont P, "Therese of Lisieux and Marie of the Trinity",
Alba House, New York, 1997. |
Marie of the Trinity was considered to be Therese's closest friend whilst
at the Carmel. Marie was under Therese's guidance as she made her
commitment to Religious life. They shared many special moments together
and these are recorded in this book. Marie tried very hard to live
according to Therese's way. Discover how she did this.
 | Gauthier.J, "Conversations with Therese of Lisieux",
Novalis, 2001, Canada. |
An interesting concept. The author takes on the role of interviewing
Therese. He cleverly links her thoughts and prayers to his statements
and questions. I got to know Therese so much more through reading this
very innovative yet easy to read book.
 | Martin.C, "My Sister St. Therese", Tan Books, Illinois,
1959 |
Here you have Therese's sister Celine sharing her love and thoughts about
the Sister she so loved. A very sensitive account of Therese's life and
death. A very moving account of Therese's passing into eternal life is
recorded here.
 | O'Mahony.C. "St. Therese of Lisieux by those who Knew Her",
Veritas Pubs, Dublin, 1975. |
Do you want a thorough description of what Therese was really like?
This is the book to read. There are accounts from many people who tell
their story of Therese as they knew her. These accounts were used in her
Beatification. A fascinating read.
